Partner + Acro-Yoga Intro: The Planned Parenthood of Northern NY and The Yoga Loft, as part of our Yoga for the People series, bring you Partner + Acro-Yoga Intro. Bring a friend and join us for a playful class of partner-assisted yoga postures. Sarah Oakley and Sarah Scafidi-McGuire will guide you through some simple partner yoga work and offer some beginner level acro-yoga options for the adventurous at heart. Hemlock Woolly Adelgid Walk & Talk: Join local conservationists for a guided walk and talk to learn how you can help protect hemlock trees from an invasive forest pest called hemlock woolly adelgid. This program will include a hands-on walk component where participants will learn to recognize signs of HWA and report observations using a mobile app, as well as an indoor session with more information about conservation efforts to protect Eastern Hemlock to be held at the Wachtmeister Field Station following the hike. Visitors are welcome to attend one or both sessions. This program is presented by Nature Up North, the NYS Hemlock Initiative, and the St. Lawrence Eastern Lake Ontario Partnership for Invasive Species Management. Winterfest Storytime: Children ages 3-8 are invited to join us for a free, fun event featuring stories and Valentine’s Day crafts presented by the students in the Irving Bacheller Society and the English Honor Society at St. Lawrence University. Canton Cardboard Sled Races: Nature Up North is excited to bring you the 3rd annual Canton Cardboard Sled Races! Approved materials include: cardboard, duct tape, recycled plastic bags, paint, and glue. Teams or individuals are invited to enter, and each sled must carry one team member. Registration and sled judging will run from 10 am - 10:30 am, with the races beginning at 10:30. Divisions: Youth (12 and under), Open (13 and up), Family (multi-ages) and College. Sleds will be judged overall for special categories and by division for fastest time. The Grasse River Players Present: “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” to help celebrate Canton’s Winterfest in 2020. “I Love You, You' re Perfect, Now Change” is a musical comedy with book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts. It is the second-longest running Off Broadway musical. The musical was nominated for the Outer Critics Circle Award as Outstanding Off-Broadway musical in 1997.
“I Love You, You' re Perfect, Now Change” is presented in the form of a series of vignettes connected by the central theme of love and relationships. The play' s tagline is &quote; Everything you have ever secretly
thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws, but were afraid to admit. &quote; With few exceptions, the scenes stand independent of the others, but progress in a fashion designed to suggest an overall arc to relationships throughout the course of one's life. A perfect ode to Valentine’s Day to warm everyone’s hearts this winter.
Performances will be held at the Gulick Theatre on St. Lawrence University campus on February 13 th ,14 th , and 15 th at 7 PM with an additional matinee performance at 2 PM on February 15 th . Tickets are $12.00 each

Singing Valentines: Representatives from the Canton Goldenaires Men's Barbershop Chorus will be delivering Singing Valentines, starting at 8:00 a.m. and will continue throughout the day.
