Name: After School Art Programs
Date: November 28, 2018
Time: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM EST
Event Description:

With the start of the school year, the Frederic Remington Art Museum resumes two free after-school art programs for young people.

The Remington Art Club is for kids in grades 6-8, and takes place every Tuesday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm in the classroom of the Eva Caten Remington Education Center. Students are welcome to bring art projects from home or school to work on, or to start new art projects using the studio supplies at the Education Center. Museum staff are on hand to offer project ideas and to assist with materials and technique.

The High School Open Studio is available every Wednesday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm in the classroom of the Eva Caten Remington Education Center. Area high school students can use this choice studio space to work on art projects from home or school, or to start new art projects. A wide range of high-quality art supplies are available for use.

“For any young person who likes to make art, this is a great space to hang out and get creative. You can experiment with new art supplies, and get inspired by your fellow artists,” says Laura Desmond, Museum Education Specialist. “Plus,” she adds, “there’s popcorn!”

The Eva Caten Remington Education Center is located at 323 Washington Street, Ogdensburg, down the street from the Remington Museum and across the street from Library Park and the Ogdensburg Public Library.
