Artisanal Pizza sampling on “Feature Friday” in Potsdam

On Friday, February 28th during “Feature Friday” the Potsdam Food Co-op will be offering samples of their artisanal pizza, fresh from the wood-fired hearth of their Carriage House Bakery. Beginning Friday, March 6th 12” Take & Bake Pizza will be available for take out every Friday. Pizzas will be par-baked and take only 10 - 14 minutes to heat through in a 375° oven. On February 28th there will also be a drawing for a chance to win the pizza of your choice during the “Feature Friday” sampling. Pre-ordering in the store and online will be Monday through Thursday at 12pm. Pizzas will be available for pick up in the store on Fridays between 3pm and 7pm. Choose your favorite from the following delicious varieties: Classic Cheese and Pepperoni and four Signature Co-op Recipes: Chicken Bacon Ranch, Roasted Veggie, Broccoli Spinach Asiago, and BBQ Chicken. Also available is a Vegan Pizza which features Potsdam's Foster the Plant Cafe’s house-made Vegan Mozzarella. The Bakery’s artisan crust is already vegan, so pick one of the veggie recipes topped with Vegan Mozzarella, or just enjoy an amazing Vegan Mozzarella Cheese Pizza! The Co-op’s Carriage House Bakery features a traditional wood-fired stone and brick oven that produces delicious hearth-baked artisan loaves. With the exception of dough mixers used to combine the ingredients, Carriage House breads, pizzas, knots, and pockets are created completely by hand. They are carefully made from scratch without the use of additives, fillers, preservatives, or dough conditioners. The Potsdam Food Co-op is located at 24 Elm Street and open daily from 8am to 7pm. It is a member-owned cooperative grocery store (although membership is not required) where everyone is welcome to shop and anyone is welcome to join.
