A Creative Way To Give - Calling all Bakers! Get your holiday spirit started by entering the 20th Annual Holiday Baking Fest and Silent Auction sponsored by the Potsdam Food Co-op & Carriage House Bakery. Your culinary creation will raise needed funds for the Potsdam Neighborhood Center. This is a fun and friendly community event and all bakers, from the novice to the proficient, are invited to take part (Co-op membership is not required). Enter by baking two of your favorite recipe. One is put on display for the Silent Auction where visitors are invited to bid, the other is divided and served to the many people who stop by to enjoy a fabulous assortment of baked goods, visit with friends and neighbors, cast silent votes for their favorite entries, and raise money for a good cause. Entries in the following categories are encouraged: Cookies, Dessert, Savory (non-sweet), and Special Diet (Gluten-free, Diabetic-friendly, and Vegan). There will be a $25 Co-op Gift Certificate awarded to the people's choice winner in each of these categories. The Holiday Baking Fest and Silent Auction takes place on Sunday, December 3rd from 12 - 3:00 pm. It will be held again this year in the Potsdam Town Hall’s Community Room at 18 Elm Street, just down the street from the Co-op. You do not need to be a Co-op member-owner to enter or to attend the festivities. Registration forms are available in the Co-op and online at www.potsdamcoop.com.
