Food sampling in Potsdam

The Potsdam Food Co-op's 3rd Thursday Sampling will be held on Thursday, December 20th from 3:30 - 5:30pm. Featured this month will be “JUST Egg”, a plant-based scramble. A fluffy, filling, and savory breakfast protein made from mung beans that scrambles and tastes just like eggs. ““JUST Egg”” is Non-GMO, Egg-free, Cholesterol-free, and Gluten-free. At 5 grams of protein per serving it compares well with the 6 grams contained in an egg. This versatile product is a great alternative for those with egg allergies or wish to avoid eggs. Use it to make French toast, an omelette, or a breakfast quesadilla or burrito. Delicious scrambled with home fries, veggies, and meat (or your favorite meat substitute), and also with fried rice. The Potsdam Food Co-op is located at 24 Elm St. Open daily from 8am to 7pm it is a member-owned cooperative grocery store (although membership is not required), where everyone is welcome to shop and anyone is welcome to join. Committed to the community and local sustainability, its emphasis is on providing natural and organic foods with the practice of buying from local and regional growers and producers. There are daily offerings from the Co-op’s natural foods deli, and artisan breads and sweets from its bakery, which features a wood-fired oven.
