This year, the Harvest Moon Committee
chose an
artwork by Rhealyn Jones, a fourth grade student at Hermon-Dekalb Central School,
as the signature image for promotion of this year's Harvest Moon event.
The mixed media
artwork
is untitled and was submitted by her art teacher Sarah Platt for the 35th Annual Elementary Art Exhibit.
The Elementary Art Exhibit is on display in the Richard E. Winter Gallery at the Frederic Remington Art Museum through May 13, 2018.
The young artist attended the exhibit reception on Saturday, March 3rd, where she had her photo taken with her art.
The Harvest Moon event includes a cash bar, live music, hors d'oeuvres, and a silent auction. Cost to attend the Harvest Moon is $40 member/$45 non-member. Sign up early to receive $5 off.
The funds raised from Harvest Moon and its silent auction are vital to our work of preserving, exhibiting and interpreting the art and archives of Frederic Remington, and to providing educational tours, hands-on art experiences, and other great experiences for children and their families at Kid’s Place, the museum's education center.
