M1 Garand Marksmanship Clinic

M1 GARAND MARKSMANSHIP CLINIC

The Massena Rod & Gun Club will be hosting a M1 Garand Marksmanship Clinic on Saturday, June 15th to introduce interested shooters to the principles and safe practices of competitive High Power Rifle Marksmanship. Rifles and ammunition will be provided.

Registration opens at 7:45am followed by an overview introduction. A 4-hour class will be held in the morning on basic marksmanship, safety, and familiarize of the M1 Garand rifle. At 1:00 pm, they will conduct a range procedures, sighting-in exercises and instructional firing on the range. Class is expected to be done by 4:00pm. Advance registration is requested, due to the available number of firing points. 

Firing to Include:

• Prone slow fire at 25 yards
• Sitting rapid firing at 50 yards
• Prone rapid firing at 50 yards

• Juniors (ages 12 - 20): $35.00
• Adults (21 and over): $45.00
• The event is open to the public, but an additional $10 fee for a day pass is required if you are not a member of the Massena Rod & Gun Club. 
• Eligibility: Open to adults and juniors of 12+ years of age that are able to safely handle a service rifle. 
• Class will be limited to 20 shooters.
