Potsdam Food Co-op’s Annual Baking Fest fundraiser

You're invited to the tastiest event of the year! On Sunday, December 2nd from 12 - 3:00 pm the Potsdam Food Co-op will hold its 21st Annual Holiday Baking Fest & Silent Auction to benefit the Potsdam Neighborhood Center. It will be held again this year in the Potsdam Town Hall’s Community Room at 18 Elm Street, just down the street from the Co-op. On this day the Community Room will be transformed into a holiday cafe. Pour yourself a cup of coffee, tea, or cider and visit with neighbors and friends. Enjoy sampling an assortment of homemade cakes, cookies, pies, and savory treats and decide which treat in each delicious category will get your silent vote as the “best”. You'll also be able to vote with your dollars by participating in the Silent Auction and bidding on the uncut duplicate of your favorite entry. Be the highest silent bidder and take home your favorite, while at the same time supporting the Neighborhood Center and the people they serve. Win a $25 Gift Card from the Co-op by entering! The Co-op invites bakers of all levels to participate in this important fundraising event. Whether you are a proficient baker or a novice, you are invited to take part. Enter the friendly contest by baking two of a favorite treat in one of the following categories: Cookies, Desserts, Special Diet (gluten-free, diabetic-friendly, & vegan), and Savory. One of the treats will be divided for sampling, to be silently voted on by those who attend the event, and the other will be displayed in the “Auction Showcase” for bidding. The highest ‘silent’ bidder wins the treat in the Auction and the baker with the most votes in each of the four categories, wins a $25 Gift Card.. All proceeds will be donated to the Potsdam Neighborhood Center. You do not need to be a Co-op member-owner to enter or to attend.
