Massena EAP Classes Provide Roadmap to Success
Have you always wanted to be your own boss, or have a great business idea but don't know how to start or what it takes to be successful? The Adirondack Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) can help!

AEDC will be holding its 60-hour Entrepreneurship Assistance Program (EAP) Small Business Institue in Massena beginning Nov. 1st. Class size will be limited to 12 to 15 people so register early. This comprehensive hands-on training course is specifically designed for new and existing business owners to learn what it takes to give their business ideas the best chance to succeed.

Classes are tentatively slated for 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Tuesday evenings and from 9:00 am to noon on Saturdays, through Dec. 18th. To sign up or for more information about the program call 518-891-5523 or email jamesmurphy52@me.com

Topics to be covered in this program include:
- Planning and researching your business idea
- Marketing Analysis, Strategies, and Implementation
- Financial Record-Keeping
- Understanding and using cash flow projections
- Financing your business
- Negotiation with partners, clients, and customers, and more

AEDC provides loan funds to qualified borrowers interested in starting or growing their business. Funds may be used for virtually any valid business reason, from inventory and equipment purchase to working capital. Loans may not be used for personal expenses or, in most cases, to refinance existing debt. Microenterprise loans are available for between $2,000 and $75,000 or higher in some cases depending on the overall project. One of the purposes of AEDC's training programs is to develop a pipeline of qualified loan clients. Anyone who participates in AEDC's 60-hour training program is eligible for reduced interest rate if his or her loan is approved.
