We will start at The TAUNY Center, 53 Main St, Canton, NY 13617 we'll introduce people to barn quilts: what they are, why people make them, how the trails have been developed. We'll also show the newly-made St. Lawrence County Barn Quilt Mural and talk about that project.
At Pickens, we'll emphasize that traditional quilt patterns are the inspiration for most barn quilts and we'll talk about Amish culture and the quilts they make.
At Bella Brooke we'll pause for lunch and wine. If the weather is nice, we'll eat on the deck.
At the Iva Smith Memorial Gallery we'll talk about the barn quilts all around the barn, and they can see a demonstrator working on a barn quilt.
At each stop, there is an opportunity to buy souvenirs and local hand-made products. Barn Quilts for sale at The TAUNY Center and Iva Smith.
